IoT-based smart composting system designed for household deployment, integrating ultra-low-cost sensors (temperature, humidity, and gas detection) with cloud-based analysis and territorial mapping. The project monitored real composters over time to distinguish proper from improper use through statistical thresholds and change-point detection, enabling early identification of methane-related anomalies. Developed as applied research and presented at SIGraDi 2025, the system demonstrates scalable potential for municipal implementation within smart city frameworks and climate-aware decision-making.
